IRCTC launches official Android app "IRCTC Connect" Service for e-ticketing

 Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) las launched ots official Android App "IRCTC Connect" that would allow passengers to book their e-tickets quickly.This app can also be used for all other services like Checking Reservation status,Train Schedules,Train Routes,Checking Ticket availability,Cancellation of Tickets,Booking History and also recent history information.

The App is available for free download on Google Play India. The 12MB IRCTC Connect is compatible on phones running Android 4.1 and above.

The IRCTC service website says, "The wait is over!! You deserved, we developed."

"Enjoy the never before experience just by swipe and shuffle, select and book", it has added.

It may be recalled that in the month of August IRCTC had launched a new application to book tickets for BlackBerry smartphone users.

There are about 31 crore reserve tickets being booked in a year out of which 55 percent tickets are sold through windows. While 37 percent tickets are booked online, eight percent are being booked by ticketing agents.
