Devasting Cyclone Hudhud Kills 6 and leaves Huge Destruction in Vizag
Cyclone Hudhud Reportedly has killed six people in Andhra Pradesh and Odisa in a Massive evacuation and unleashed its full fury with devasting effect on Vizag by leaving destruction by knocking down electricity and telephone & communication system ,damaging buildings and up rooting trees with wind gusting @ 200 KMPH on Sunday.Heavy rain that followed the winds flooded low-lying areas and cut off road, rail, power and telecom lines.
The communication lines have collapsed in the region and the Visakhapatnam airport has been badly damaged..The focus in Andhra Pradesh is now on relief efforts and damage
assessment. In the worst-hit cities, including Visakhapatnam, essential
commodities like milk and fuel are short.

Nearly four lakh people had been evacuated in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha hours before the cyclone hit the coasts.Coastal Areas such as Vizianagaram,Srikakulam and EastGodavari were also badly effected.Hundreds of NDRF Personnels and Police rescued people stuck in vehicles on Highways.

TheWeather Experts of Meteorological Department said thar the Cyclone has lost its speed an intensity & weakened since last night and now turned into a deep depression and moved it further 60km northwest of Vizag.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu asked center to treat this storm as national calamity and sought an adhoc relief package of Rs 2000 Crore.Earlier PM Modi spoke to Naidu and promised Andhra Pradesh all Possible assistance.
