Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery resigns ahead of floor test
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery resigned on Wednesday, after the Supreme court asked Sivasena government to prove the majority on the floor. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Sivasena, NCP and Congress has been facing the political crisis after a big revolt in Sivasena.

Sivasena rebel MLA's led by Ekhnath Shinde had been camping in Guwahathi.Mr Uddhav Thackery also resigned as MLC said that he was not going away and he is confident enough in sitting in Sivsena bhavan.He said that he was hurt by the rebells in Sivasena party and he has decided to quit as member of the state legislative council. During his tenure he focused more on Marathi people and Hindutva. There are no riots in Maharashtra. He also expressed his thankfulness to Muslim brethren for their support. As according to sources Devendra Fadnavis of BJP is likely to form a government in Maharashtra. Sivasena Rebel leader Eknath Shinde with his MLA's set off the downward spiral and support the BJP alliance government. Eknath Shinde is likely to be the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra.
