Central Government announces Extension of Lockdown 5.0 and New Guidelines

Ministry of Home Affairs has announced Guidelines for the Fifth Phase of Lockdown 5.0. A day before the fourth phase of Lockdown 4.0 ends, In containment zones the Lockdown rules and restrictions will be continued till June 30th. Only essential activities and medical emergencies are allowed in Containment Zones.The Restrictions in other places apart from containment zones will be lifted in Phases. Government has issued guidelines for re-opening of all activities outside containment zones for the next one month.

With more than 8,000 fresh cases reported in 24 hours. Total number of cases registered has been increased to 1,75,000 + . The total deaths rose to 4,800+  and over 60,00,000 people have been infected with Covid-19 Worldwide. The doubling of cases has improved to 13.3 days from 15.4 days from the past three days.

In the First Phase Religious Places of workship, Hotels, Restaurants, Other Hospitality Services, Shopping Malls will be permitted to open from June 8th 2020. Movement of Individuals is strictly prohobited from 9 PM to 5 PM.Splitting in Public Places shall be punishable with fine. People need to follow social distancing at all public places and also while travelling in a Public Transport.

In Phase Two Schools, Colleges , Higher Education/ Training Institutes and coaching centers will not re-open in June and the opening dates will be decided in July after consulting respective state governments.

In Phase Three Based on asessment of the situation decision will be taken on various activities like International Passenger Travels, Metro Rail, Cinemal Halls, Entertainment Parks, Theaters, Bars, Auditoriums, Assembly halls and Social,Political and Religious gatherings. 

No seperate permission or approval or e-permit will be required for Inter state and Intra state movement of persons and goods delivery. If a state or Union Terriotory based on reasons of public health proposes to regulate or impose/prohibit restrictions as per the assessment.

Senior Citizens, Children below 10 years age and Co-morbidities persons are advised to stay home.For Marraige or related gatherings the maximum number of guests allowed will be limited to 50 and In the Funeral or last rites the maximum number allowed is limited to 20.
