Election Poll dates for Five states has been announced
Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi has announced dates for assembly polls of the five states on a press conference today afternoon. In Assam , West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Kerala states polling is going to be held during April- May.

The Mode of Conduct comes into immediate effect in these five states and he seeks cooperation of all stakeholders. Above 17 Crore Voters will take part in this assembly elections.He asked voters to check their names in electoral roles. More than 7 Lakh duplicate and dead entries have been removed in the Voters list. It is mandatory to have their names in the list irrespective of having ID card proofs.
The Commissioner also said that the polling stations in all five states has been increased. In Assam there are around 25,000 Polling stations, In Kerala around 21,000 Polling stations, 65,000 Polling stations in Tamilnadu, 77,000 in West Bengal and 973 in Puducherry.
Seperate polling stations for Visually impaired at Leprosy centres and schools. Women polling stations will also be setup. For first time NOTA (None of the Above) option designed with the help of National Institute of design will be provided in the electronic voting machines.
