AP aims to create a world class ecosystem for IoT Growth Operations
Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Headed by chief minister Mr Nara chandra babu naidu has approved Internet Of Things (IoT) Policy today.The Primary objective of this policy is to make Andhra Pradesh as an IoT hub by the year 2020 with an achievable share in the market.
Andhra Pradesh government will promote setting up of various IoT hubs to create 50,000 direct jobs in different IoT verticals with an active participation of Private Sector. In order to achieve this Government is planning to attract various IoT Companies with a world class ecosystem to set up their operations in Andhra Pradesh.

The IT Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy said to media that The Central Government is drafting a policy to create IoT industry worth $15 billion by 2020.The State Government is also planning for a world class ecosystem with an State of art IoT Physical and Technical infrastructure with International standards in all major towns in AP. Research and Development, Device and hardware manufacturing, System integration, Software applications and analytics are the different kinds of identified IoT segments.
The State Government will soon come up with operational guidelines for settingup IoT centers for all eligible companies which will be granted by consultative committee.He also said that Government is planning to start an Incubation centre in the temple town Tirupati with the support of University of Texas along with Federation of Andhra Pradesh chambers. With this Programme The government is planning to develop 1000 innovative companies to train at least 6000 people which will become good entrepreneurs and Scientists etc. Hundreds of jobs will be created at this first step and over more than 2,500 jobs will be created in next five years
