India's first Bullet Train from Mumbai- Ahmadabad will run on elevated corridor

Additional secretary ,Transports and Ports Gautam Chatterjee said that The Mumbai - Ahmadabad bullet train is going to run on an elevated corridor with out any fencing so as to prevent people and cattle to cross the river . They want to remove the problems of building underpasses for cattle and vast tracts of land people .

This project will not pass through Nashik.as it is not technically viable as according to study.The Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis  also pitched the importance of halt of bullet train at Nashik which will help to boost the tribal felt regions development in Maharashtra.

The Feasibility of this Project is conducted by RITES, Italferr and Systra in July 2015. The Japanese International Co-operation Agency(JICA) is offering Softloan to this project and it is being implemented by using Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) by Ministry of Railways and the state governments of Maharashtra and Gujarat.The Train covers 11 Routes in its run in which 7 stations are from Maharashtra alone which covers several places like Thane (both Central and Navi Mumbai) , Virar, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad and Ahmedabad

The Total Project cost is estimated as Rs 98,000 Crore and is now expected to increase Rs 10,000 more crore as the govt is planning to build a corridor with an elevated structure.The Train runs with a speed of 505 Kmph and in corridor it runs between 300-350 Kmph.
