"Indian Govt Smart cities will use 1.6 billion IoT's by 2016":Gartner Research Report

Government if India's Prestigious smart city development  will use nearly 1.6 billion of connected things or Internet of things(IoT) by 2016 which is 39% more than that of 2015 this stats is according to report prepared by Gartner's Research. "Even commerical security cameras ,webcams and Indoor Leds will drive 24% of total IoT market for smart cities  and smart homes with rapid pace growth will take lead with over just 1 billion connected things in 2018 by commercial buildings will be the highest user of Iot 2017" Said Bettina Tratz-Ryan Gartner's Research.

Internet of Things(IoT) is the network of physical objects or things embedded with electronics,software,sensors and network connectivity which enables objects to collect and exchange data.Implementation of IoT not only creates facilities management but also advanced service operations through collection of data and insights from multitude of sensors.IoT helps to reduce the cost of energy,spatial management and building maintenance by 30% specially for large sites like industrial zones,office parks,airports,seaports and office parks etc

Gartner also expressed that the business applications that are fuelling the growth of IoT in commercial buildings are handled by buillding information management systems that drives operations management around energy efficiency and user centric environments.
