High Court Rejects Pleas by Sonia and Rahul in National Heralds case
In 2012 BJP Leader Subramanian swamy had filed a complaint against Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi along with four other congress leaders Congress Treasurer Motilal Vora,General secretary Oscar Fernande, Journalist Suman Dubey and Technocract Sam Pitroda of cheating breach of trust in the Associated Journals Ltd (AJL)- Young Indian Pvt Limited (YIL) Case as assets worth Two thousand crore rupees of defunct print media outlet had been transferred to YIL.

Subramanian swamy has alleged that 76% of shares are with Sonia Gandhi
and Rahul Gandhi and remaining 24% are vests with others in the case.The
Delhi High court had examined four complainant witness during
pre-summoning stage and on June 26 2014 the court summoned all the
congress leaders and asked them to appear before the court personally
since it was only the stage of summoning.The trail court asked all
accused to appear before Aug 7 2014.
The Congress has claimed that YIL had been created "with an aim of charity"and till now there is no any illegality in any transactions and it was merely a commercial transaction for transfer of shares in the company and it was not for getting any profit.
The High court has said that the queries raised during the grant of loan to AJL,modus operandi of the transfer of the loan to YIL and related transactions would have to be examined minutely by the trail court.The Delhi High court has rejected pleas by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi
