ADB gives $300m loan to combat pollution levels in China

 Asian Development Bank(ADB) is going to help China by giving $300m loan to cut region's coal use and to combat pollution levels in Beijing and its surrounding areas.ADB's urban development specialist Satoshi lshii said poor quality had reached such a dangerous level in China which was jeopardizing health and sustainable growth in China as it is now became the one of the world's biggest polluter.

He also said that they will assist in reducing emissions and strengthening the environment regulatory framework and capacity of environmental monitoring and enforcement.Better air quality will benefit the economy and people's health both in the region and beyond.

The loan will target Beijing city and its surrounding areas which includes Hebie and Tianjin. The region is home to more than 100 million people and accounts for 10% of china's gross domestic product. China's red-alert warning makes up part of a four-tier alert system and it was the first ever pollution red alert which was declared this week.

Schools in Beijing was closed, outdoor constructions was halted, limits were placed on car use and some factories were ordered to stop operations.The Emissions from coal-powered industries,cars and heating systems, together with dust from different construction sites helps to create the dangerous smog.

The US Embassy's air pollution monitor in Beijing said that the intensity of tiny particles known as PM 2.5 were at 291 micro-grams per cubic meter.The World Health Organization(WHO) recommends 25 micro-grams per cubic meter is the maximum safe level.Despite of several large investments in various renewable energy sources, China still depends on more than 60% of coal for its power generation.

India Australia Finalized the Civil Nuclear Deal

India and Australia Sealed the Nuclear Energy Deal On Friday which enables Australia to sell Uranium to India. Indian Prime Minister Modi and Australian Prime Minister Abbott met at New Delhi and finalized the Civil Nuclear Deal to allow the export of Uranium to India.

Abbott said that they are strongly convergent to trade and strategic interests and best relations with India and he was also assured of India's Commitment to peaceful power generation and has an absolutely non proliferation record with high safety standards.It will strengthen the Bilateral Relation Partnership to take it to high level with mutual trust.

India-Aus Nuclear Deal

India and Australia started negotiations on Uranium Sales after Canberra lifted the long-time ban on exporting Valuable ore to New Delhi to meet its ambitious Civil Nuclear Energy Programme.Earlier India is struggling to produce enough power to meet rising demand amid of existing population. This Nuclear deal agreement will ramp up plans for more nuclear power station. Modi called this agreement a historic milestone between two countries relationship which would help to provide clean energy to People of India.
