External Affairs Minister S.Jaishankar said that The neighbouring country Srilanka's situation is Very much sensitive and  Complicated. India's focus is now on the economic aspects of Srilanka. Our country is assessing the situation in Srilanka and committed to support the friendly neighbouring nation in this difficult phase of life.

Srilanka Economic Crisis

The situation in Srilanka is pretty much sensitive even though there are many developments taking place..Our Indian government is extremely helpful for the people of Srilanka in the last few months.The Minister told Srilamka is our friendly neighboring country and we want to help the people of Srilanka in this tough times. India will not involve in other matters.

Indias top priority is to help the people of Srilanka by making special efforts that meets their basic requirements. There is huge mishandling in the Srilankan economy by the rulers.India has committed USD 3.8 billion to support the  people of Srilanka during this economic crisis which has been building up over a period of time.
