Nine Supreme Court Judges take oath in One go For First Time in History

Nine New Judges including Three Women, administered oath of office as Judges of Supreme Court on Tuesday.The Total strength of  Judges  would rise to 33. Its for the first time in the history that Nine judges took oath of Supremecourt office at one go.

The Chief Justice of India NV Ramana adminstered the oath function swearing ceremony of Nine New Judges held in the Supreme Court auditorium additional building complex. The Nine New Judges who would be adminstered oath of office as apex court judges include Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheswari, Justice Vikramnath, Justice Hima Kohli, Justice BV Nagarathna, Justice Bela M Trivedi, Justice CT Ravi Kumar, Justice MM Sundresh  and former Additional Solictor General PS Narasimha would also administered oath of office by CJI.Justice Nagarathna , the daugther of former CJI ES Venkatramaiah, is inline to become the First woman CJI in September 2027.
