Indian Railways will resume Passenger Services from Tuesday.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Reservation Bookings will start at 4 PM today for 15 pair of Special trains which will resume operations on Tuesday. Passengers can book tickets online using IRCTC website and App.

There will be no General coaches in this train and even there is no provision of Tatkal or Premium Tatkal reservation booking for these trains. 50 days after the  Indian Railways Passenger services were suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic the Government of India is planning to resume operations in a gradual way.

All the Railway Ticket Counters will remain closed and no reservation counter tickets and platform tickets will be issued in the Railway Stations.Passengers with confirmed tickets are allowed inside the station. All the Special Trains are air conditioned with few limited stoppages and the fares will be similar to those of Rajadhani Trains. 

The Special Trains will start from New Delhi Railway station connecting various parts of India like Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Tiruvananthapuram, Mumbai Central, Jammu Tawi, Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Bilaspur, Patna, Howrah, Ahmedabad, Agartala, Dilburgh and Bhubaneswar, 

After the resumption of these special trains Indian Railways are planning to start some more services on various other routes based on the availability of coaches after they are being used for Covid-19 Isolation coaches and care centers.
