Indian Railways Cancelled Regular Train Services Till June 30.

Indian Railways to cancel all regular train tickets till June 30 which was booked before and during lock down period. A full refund will be given to passengers for all booked tickets. All Regular Passenger service includes Mail or Express trains, Passenger trains and sub urban trains. have cancelled till June 30. Earlier Indian Railways had stopped bookings for all trains from April 14 on-wards.

All the e-tickets will be refunded automatically who has booked tickets from their respective IRCTC logins. Those who bought tickets in the Railway reservation counter post March 21 can also be cancelled and the total amount is refunded. upon the submission of tickets up to six months from the date of journey.

Passengers can file Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) within Six Months from the date of journey instead of three days to chief claims officer or CCM Refund Office for getting the refund amount after verification of details. Passengers need to submit detailed TDR with in sixty days duration instead of ten days to get their amount refunded.

Special Trains which was started from May 12 and Shramik Special Train services which was started on May 1st will continue as usual.Indian Railways has also started maintaining the starting point and destination point information of all passengers which helps to facilitate contact tracing if any infections detected among them.IRCTC has already included the destination address information on their website from May 13.

Passengers who are disallowed to travel on trains because of  severe temperature and other symptoms appeared at the time of screening will also get complete refund they need to obtain certificates from TTE mentioning that due to symptoms of Covid-19. In group tickets if one passenger is found to be unfit to travel due to symptoms and all other passengers on the same PNR also don't want to travel in such case refund will be granted for all passengers.
