Pradhan Mantri Awas Yogna's Online Application scheme for Urban affordable homes to start tomorrow
With an aim to provide affordable homes to all urban people and to bring under the ambit of Narendra Modi's Pradhan Mantri Awas Yogna's scheme to reach the people, The Government is beginning Online Applications from Tomorrow. The submission of online applications service will be available from tomorrow through about 60,000 CSCs located in urban areas that directly will enable the concerned authorities to take note and attend faster to beneficiaries request.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was today signed between Housing and
Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) Ministry and Common Services Centre
e-Governance Services India Ltd (CSC) of the Ministry of Electronics and
Information Technology in presence of Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu
and Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Venkaiah Naidu said that the purpose of this initiative is that the government services and benefits should reach the people with out any deviation or dilution or leakage. Each application costs Rs 25 only. He stressed the Digital India Mission is transforming India. This Collaboration helps in bringing more urban poor people to get benefited under this scheme. This Online submission process removes the physical submission difficulties with adequate help and guidance.
About 11 lakh houses have been already sanctioned for urban poor people during last year and more than 13.70 lakh urban people were sanctioned houses during 2005-2014. This Online application process will pick up further momentum for the needy poor urban people.
