Tamilnadu CM Jayalalithaa announced Rs 500 Crores for Monsoon Relief and Rehabilitation

Tamilnadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa announced Rs 500 Crore towards relief and rehabilitation with immediate effect.She had directed officials to further expedite relief and rehabilitation measures in rain affected areas on a War-Footing .Especially the Worst-affected Cuddalore.This allocation would also be used for disbursement of solatium to affected people.

Chennai had 246.5mm of record breaking rainfall in last 24 hours.Tamilnadu is being hit badly by monsoon fury causing flood and inundation.More than 71 People was dead due to electrocution and  drowning.Jayalalithaa had announced the Compensation from Rs2.5 Lakh to Rs 4 Lakh to families of those killed due to rains besides relief for injures and death of cattle and Poultry.

Jayalalithaa Praised the Army's help in rescuing the stranded people.40 Medical camps are also functioning in rural areas.121 Camps had been held to cater to cattle while fodder for animals was being given free of cost.In 70 relief camps morethan 58,000 food packets were being distributed
