IRCTC next generation e-ticketing system enables to book 15,000 Tickets per minute
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Cooperation (IRCTC) has made 35 seconds compulsory wait to book tickets online hastle free through their website for genuine ticket seekers.Now it is not possible to book ticket online before 35 seconds mandatory wait followed by bank transactions . It prevents unscrupulous elements to misuse the booking of tickets.

IRCTC chairman and director AK Manocha said that with certain measures it is possible to book 15,000 tickets per minute with the substantial upgrade in the system.The Minimum time required to fill the information to book ticket online is 35 seconds which helps to reduce longer queues which is a counter productive.
Foolproof arrangements have also made from unauthorized intrusion and hacking of IRCTC website.we have mostly engaged in standardization ticketing , quality control and maintenance of website.Online bookings has gone up to 58% of total tickets.IRCTC has also planned to increase the online booking demand with next generation e-ticketing system. IRCTC has to spent about 180 crores to strengthen the complete system in five years.
